Rick Connor, Project Manager

Rick brings to KIP Corporation more than 25 years in the civil construction industry. Rick began his career with Hoffman-Butler & Associates Consulting Engineers. After seven years in design, Rick decided to try his hand at construction. He served as Project Manager for McCall Brothers and later Senior Project Manager for Paul N. Howard Company. Rick later managed a $55 million Waste Water Treatment Facility for the City of Greensboro. He has served as Project Manager for Crowder Construction, Land Development Manager/VP of the Tyson Group, and Sr. Project Manager at Culp Brothers. Some of his projects include Mallard Creek Road Widening (NCDOT), Pleasure Island & Parkway (Disney Group), American Express International Headquarters, eight golf courses, numerous subdivisions, commercial shopping centers and several multi-family complexes.

Jimmy Knight, General Superintendent

Jimmy is one of KIP Corporation’s original eight employees. During his previous 27 years with Crowder Construction, Jimmy gained hands-on knowledge in storm water systems, concrete and water/sewer. He was later promoted to General Superintendent over Crowder’s Charlotte Division. Since joining KIP Corporation, Jimmy has helped the company grow by training field personnel and creating solid working relationships with our customers. His proficiency in the field assures KIP Corporation’s projects are safely maintained and completed in a timely, professional manner. You can ask anyone in the Charlotte construction community – they’ll tell you Jimmy Knight is the best.

Bryan Rosenhauer, Concrete Superintendent

Another member of KIP Corporation’s “original eight,” Bryan’s first taste of construction was with J.A. Jones of Charlotte, where he learned to do structural concrete work. Later, as an employee of Shook Construction in Ohio, Bryan gained experience in layout work for buildings and added to his knowledge of concrete construction. From there, Bryan worked with Atlanta’s Batson Cook where he did layout work for high-rise buildings and concrete construction. Later Bryan worked with Crowder Construction where he applied his vast knowledge of concrete construction to roadwork projects. Bryan’s technical knowledge of concrete, coupled with his hard work ethic, has helped make KIP Corporation the preferred contractor project after project.

In 2000 Mike joined Dirtworks, Inc., a general contractor in Charlotte. There he served as a Utility Foreman before being moved up to Utility Superintendent. From 2003 to 2006 Mike worked for Allied Resources Ltd. USA, another Charlotte general contractor, where he was a General Super in charge of grading, concrete and utility work. In September 2006 Mike joined KIP Corporation. In the short time he’s been with us, he’s proven a very valuable asset, making our projects run even more efficiently.
